TOMO IS A SOCIAL COMMUNICATION TOOL FOR THE ELDERLY.
Tomo is designed to simplify socialising through internet based communications. Getting rid of unnecessary clutter you would find on a normal tablet, desktop or keyboard, Tomo leaves you with only the essentials to get in contact with others. The aesthetics are simple and friendly without giving the impression of ‘childlike’, as it would be less intimidating than a ‘high tech’ looking product.
Tomo has physical components and buttons, therefore using less touchscreen interaction, saving both time and effort.
The components are physical objects necessary for contacting others, making the process of connecting much simpler. The orange components represent a physical address book, and the user may allocate one card to any person. The white components represent a social action, such as video call, audio call, messaging and social applications.
A PORTABLE STAND ALLOWING THE MICRO SCOOTER TO BE STORED VERTICALLY WHEN FOLDED.
As a commuter travelling to and from the city, having a Micro Scooter can result in quicker and more exciting journeys. However it can be difficult to manoeuvre the scooter around public transport especially in peak times. The Micro Stand allows the user to temporarily store the scooter vertically on busy transport, thus taking up less space and allowing the user to relax without having to worry about disturbing other commuters.
The stand is located underneath the scooter, therefore being non invasive on the foot placement when the user is riding the scooter.
It has a simple lock mechanism which uses the weight of the scooter to hold the legs of the stand in place when unfolded.
